There’s a problem with “Protecting People at the Bottom.”
The problem is they shouldn’t need to be protected. A more economically balanced American society would significantly reduce the need to protect the people at the bottom. The current crazy system is costly. Instead of creating all sorts of agencies to help the needy, which is expensive, allow the needy to earn more money and reduce their taxes. Raise the minimum wage for everyone to $15 or $20/hr.
The argument that businesses can’t afford for their products and services to be more expensive because fewer people will be able to afford them is nonsense. If more people at the bottom in the US had more money, they’d have more money to spend for goods and services.
