As with the front porch of the addition, the goal for the rear porch was to create a feeling of restful repose and architectural simplicity. This porch creates a usable outdoor room directly off the master bedroom. The porch wraps around the back of the addition (on the left) to better wed the addition to the landscape. At the far right side of the photograph is a door that leads from the rear gardens to the master suite and to the great room.
