Our dear Emilia, gone!  So painful to hear the news; so hard to accept.

She was for me the best model.

Serious, determined, quirky,

fabulous physical forms, ever a delight,

so strong in forcing herself into those memorable poses and holding them for so long.

I’m glad she entered my life through the drawing class

and I will always treasure the hundreds of drawings I did of her.

For me, she lives on.

I will cover my walls with my drawings of her and remember how valuable she was to all of us as a master model.

We miss you, dear Emilia.
