In this week’s Chestnut Hill Local, I proposed a Philadelphia-sponsored international architectural competition to design a tower commemorating the achievements and contributions of Philadelphia’s greatest genius, Benjamin Franklin. The Tower would sit on a platform over the tracks at Amtrak’s 30th Street Station. Profits from ticket sales would benefit the cash-strapped Philadelphia School System.
